Arsenal and the Wolverhampton Wanderers will play the eleventh match of the Premier League season on Saturday, 2nd November at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal and the Wolverhampton Wanderers meet this weekend at the Emirates Stadium for the eleventh match of the Premier League season. Arsenal are currently fifth in the league with 16 points having won 4 games, drawn 4 and lost 2. Wolverhampton Wanderers are twelfth in the league with 12 points having won 2 games, drawn 6 and lost 2.
Both teams have produced some good results in recent weeks. Last weekend Arsenal drew 2 – 2 with Crystal Palace and before that they defeated Victoria Guimaraes 3 – 2. While Arsenal did lose 1 – 0 to Sheffield United, they defeated Bournemouth 1 – 0. Wolves have not lost any of their recent games. They drew 1 – 1 with Newcastle United last weekend and defeated Slovan Bratislava 1 – 2 in the week before. Wolves also drew 1 – 1 with Southampton and surprised many by inflicting a 0 – 2 defeat on Manchester City.
The teams have played many times in the last few years. They last played in April this year and Wolverhampton Wanderers won 3 – 1. Before that they played in November 2018 and drew 1 – 1. However, between August 1983 and February 2011, Arsenal won every encounter with Wolves.
“It’s good for everyone to be involved, be around it, it’s a motivation for us then to go and do well in the 23s and try and get more opportunities out of that. I think it can only benefit us and we can learn and go forward.”— Wolves (@Wolves) October 31, 2019
