Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur will play the eighth match of the Premier League season on Saturday, 5th October at The American Express Community Stadium.
Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur meet this weekend at The American Express Community Stadium for the eighth match of the Premier League season. Brighton have had a poor start to the season; they are 16th in the league with 6 points having won 1 game, drawn 3 and lost 3. Tottenham are sixth in the league with 11 points having won 3 games, drawn 2 and lost 2.
It has been a while since Brighton last won a game, last week they lost to Chelsea and before that, they lost to Aston Villa. They drew with Newcastle and Burnley early in September, and lost to Manchester City at the end of August. Their last league victory was over Watford at the beginning of August. Spurs defeated Southampton last week after a humiliating loss to Colchester United in the Football League Cup. Before that, they lost to Leicester City and drew with Olympiakos Piraeus.
Tottenham Hotspur have won their last two encounters, 1 – 0 in April this year and 1 – 2 in September last year. Before that they drew 1 – 1 but the last time that Brighton defeated Spurs was way back in 1983 when they won 2 – 1.
