Dijon and Toulouse meet at the Stade Gaston Gérard on Friday, 24th May for the final game of the season.
Dijon are hosting Toulouse at the Stade Gaston Gérard on Friday for the final game of the Ligue 1 season. Dijon are currently in nineteenth place and facing relegation; however, they are two points below eighteenth placed Caen so there is a chance for them to at least reach the relegation play-offs. Toulouse are in a better position, but have been struggling recently.
The last few weeks have not been great for Dijon. They lost to PSG last weekend, and have also lost to Nantes and Caen recently. However, they have enjoyed victories over Strasbourg and Rennes in their only two recent home games. Toulouse have not won a match in a long while. Last week they lost to Marseille 2 – 5 and at the end of March they lost 2 – 0 to Saint Etienne. However, they have drawn with Amiens, Rennes and Lille in recent weeks.
The teams last played in December last year and the game ended in a 2 – 2 draw. Before that, they played in April 2018 and Dijon won the game 0 – 1. The teams have played just seven times with Dijon winning three of those games, three games ended in draws and Toulouse won one game, in August 2011.
