However, they did lose 3 – 2 to Norwich City earlier in the month and they were held to a draw by Spurs.
The teams have played many times in recent years in the Premier League and other competitions. Most recently they played in February this year and Manchester City won 0 – 2. Manchester City also won their games in December and March 2018. The teams drew in August 2017 and the last time Everton defeated City was in January 2017.
