Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has already accepted his side are title contenders, and you can expect the war cry to run in every other competition the Old Trafford club will be involved in this season. They travel to play Dutch side Feyenoord on in a Europa League group stage opener on Thursday, 15th September, seeking another route back into the Champions League amid great competition for the top three places in the domestic league.
Jose Mourinho’s squad includes players who have experience in elite European competition, including surprise inclusion Bastian Schweinsteiger who has won the Champions League with Bayern in the past. The side has gelled fast with the four summer signings settling in beautifully, and will be the team to watch in the Europa.
Feyenoord have veteran striker Dirk Kuyt to supply the required Europe experience, and although the 36-year-old may not start, he will definitely be on hand to assist Steven Berghuis and Eljero Elia when called upon.
