Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur will play the sixth match of the Premier League season on Saturday, 21st September at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur meet this weekend at the King Power Stadium for the sixth match of the Premier League season. Leicester City are currently fifth in the league with 8 points having won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1. Tottenham Hotspur are third in the league, also with 8 points, having also won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham are also on 8 points at the moment, so a win at this stage would help either team secure their position.
Last weekend Leicester City lost 1 – 0 to Manchester United, and this came after defeating AFC Bournemouth 3 – 1, Sheffield United 1 – 2 and drawing 1 – 1 with Chelsea. They also defeated Newcastle United in the Football League Cup. Spurs demolished Crystal Palace 4 – 0 last weekend and that came after drawing 2 – 2 with Arsenal, losing 0 – 1 to Newcastle United, drawing 2 – 2 with Manchester City and defeating Aston Villa 3 – 1.
They teams have played numerous times in the league and other competitions in recent years. Spurs have won their last three encounters, most recently 3 – 1 in February this year. Leicester City last defeated Tottenham in November 2017 when they won 2 – 1.
