Liverpool and Manchester City will play the twelfth match of the Premier League season on Sunday, 10th November at Anfield.
Liverpool and Manchester City meet this weekend at Anfield for the twelfth match of the Premier League season. Liverpool are currently first in the league with 31 points having won 11 games and drawn 1. Manchester City are second in the league with 25 points having won 8 games, drawn 1 and lost 2.
Liverpool were held to a draw by Manchester United towards the end of October but since then they have defeated Genk, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Aston Villa. Manchester City have suffered from some shock results this season including a 0 – 2 defeat to Wolves, a 3 – 2 defeat to Norwich, and a 2 – 2 draw with Spurs. However, recently they have defeated Southampton, Aston Villa, Atalanta and Crystal Palace.
The last few years have seen a great rivalry between these teams. They last placed in the FA Community Shield in August and Manchester City won. Before that, they played in January and Manchester City also won that game. However, they drew in October 2018 and Liverpool won the three meetings before that. Fans can be sure that this will be a very exciting match.

It’s my personal philosophy and a motto of this football club.
We’ve made it abundantly clear last year, holding the lead during that gruelling home stretch.
