Manchester City and Chelsea will play the thirteenth match of the Premier League season on Saturday, 23rd November at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City and Chelsea meet this weekend at the Etihad Stadium for the thirteenth match of the Premier League season. Manchester City are currently fourth in the league with 25 points having won 8 games, drawn 1 and lost 3. Chelsea are third in the league with 26 points having won 8 games, drawn 2 and lost 2.
Manchester City have had a few slip ups this season. They lost their last game 3 – 1 to Liverpool and before that drew 1 – 1 with Atalanta. However, before that they defeated Southampton 2 – 1, and Aston Villa 3 – 0. Chelsea have also had a few ups and downs. In their last game they defeated Crystal Palace 2 – 0 and before that drew 4 – 4 with Ajax. They defeated Watford 1 – 2, but lost 1 – 2 to Manchester United.
The teams have played many times in the last few years. They last played in the League Cup in February this year and the game ended in a goalless draw (Man City won on penalties). That was their second game in February, they also played in the Premier League and Manchester City won 6 – 0. With both teams struggling for consistency at the moment, this could be a truly exciting game.
