The signs at Old Trafford have been encouraging after Jose Mourinho’s indifferent start to life at United. The team is now playing as a cohesive unit, and there is very little to show that they cannot challenge any team at the moment.
This resurgence has been helped in part by the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the awakening of the scoring abilities of Frenchman Paul Pogba. After a brief hiatus, the league now directs United into the part of Hull City, where it is a do-or-die day for both teams. United are 3 points off the top four spot while Hull is stuck at the root of the table, and this makes for a feisty clash-everyone has everything to gain and cannot afford to lose.
On paper, United are the obvious winners but you can never ignore the wrath of a team trying to escape the gallows. The Red Devils will bank on their human resources on the pitch as well as the backing of a rowdy home crowd.
