Manchester United and Leicester City will play the fifth match of the Premier League season on Saturday, 14th September at Old Trafford.
Manchester United and Leicester City meet this weekend at Old Trafford for the fifth match of the Premier League season. Leicester City has had the better start to the new season and Manchester United will be looking to exploit their home advantage to make up ground on the leading teams.
Manchester United have only won one match since the start of the season, defeating Chelsea 4 – 0 in the opening game. Since then they have drawn with Wolverhampton Warriors and Southampton and lost to Crystal Palace. Leicester City drew their opening game with Wolves and then drew with Chelsea, and since then they have defeated Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth. They also defeated Newcastle United on penalties in the Football League Cup.
The teams have played many times in recent years, most recently Manchester United defeated Leicester City 0 – 1 in February this year. United also defeated Leicester 2 – 1 in August last year. Leicester City have not defeated Manchester United since September 2014, when they won 5 – 3, and since then United has won 7 games and they have drawn 3.
