ManchesterUnited and Southampton meet at Old Trafford on Saturday, 2nd Marchand it should be a relatively easy game for the hosts after the excitement oflast week.
Manchester United are likely to be feeling relaxed about hosting Southampton over the weekend. The team were under enormous pressure in their match against Liverpool last week and by comparison, this should be a straightforward game.
Since changing manager in December, Manchester United have been a transformed team and are doing well to keep the pressure on Arsenal and Chelsea in the battle for a top four finish. Southampton, on the other hand, are having a disastrous season and there is a real risk that they will be relegated.
The last match between these teams ended in a 2 – 2 draw in December and Southampton will take heart from this. However, Southampton have not defeated Manchester United in a very long while, and playing as the away team, they are likely to find this an extremely difficult match. However, Manchester United can’t afford to drop many points and this pressure may open things up for Southampton.
