Norway and Spain will play their next Euro 2020 qualifying game on Saturday, 12th October at the Ullevaal Stadion.

Norway and Spain will play each other on Saturday in their next Euro 2020 qualifying match. Norway are fourth in Group F with 9 points having played 6 games of which they have won 2, drawn 3 and lost 1. Spain are top of the group with 18 points having played 6 games and won all of them.

Norway drew their last game 1 – 1 with Sweden and before that, they defeated Malta 2 – 0 and the Faroe Islands 0 – 2. Earlier in the year they drew 2 – 2 with Romania and 3 – 3 with Sweden. Spain have recently defeated the Faroe Islands 4 – 0, Romania 1 – 2, Sweden 3 – 0, and Malta 0 – 2. They haven’t lost a match since the 2018 World Cup when Russia defeated them on penalties in the Round of 16.

The teams last played in March when Spain won 2 – 1. That was their first meeting since 2003 when Spain defeated Norway twice, 0 – 3 and before that 2 – 1. A win for Norway would be a major boost towards the next round of the tournament, but given the teams’ respective forms, it seems unlikely.
