Progres Niedercorn vs Rangers: Home side fighting from underdog position as Europa action descends on Luxembourg

Niedercon welcome rangers to the Stade Jos Haupert for a Europa League first qualifying round second leg match on Tuesday. It will probably be a full capacity match at the 4,830 capacity stadium of the Luxembourg side, as they look to progress from an underdog position.

The match follows a first leg meeting at Glasgow on Wednesday. Paolo Amodio’s side are returning to the competition after a year’s absence, but are yet to progress beyond the first qualifying round. They’ll be defensive despite playing at home, with a heavy reliance on the performance of goalkeeper Sébastien Flauss. Captain Rémi Laurent will lead the attack.

Rangers will go for attack from the first whistle, with Kenny Miller spearheading the attack of the Pedro Caixinha managed team. The quick Eduardo Herrera will play as a second striker, dropping deep to assist with build-up when they lose possession. Ryan Jack will seek to control proceedings from midfield alongside Andy Halliday where they will play a high line.
