Talk of James Rodriguez’ Real Madrid exit has been rife all summer, with the Champions of Europe reportedly keen to do away with the Colombian after two below-par seasons. It is now reported by Yahoo! France that James is in talks to join French Champions PSG.
The owner of PSG Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied any interest in the midfielder, but that does little convincing in light of prevailing conditions. PSG are in a rebuilding period after the exit of coach Laurent Blanc at the end of the season. Incoming coach Unai Emery will definitely need a big name to build around, and James seems like the perfect option. His big wages would not be a rouble for PSG, and Real Madrid are willing to sell at a loss.
Again, the other clubs that are said to be after James- Man United and Chelsea- are still more focused on landing Juventus’ Paul Pogba, so competition remains little at the moment, and that is definitely something to excite PSG
