After drawing 1-1 at Fratton Park last week, Portsmouth and QPR are set to hook up at Loftus road for a replay of the fourth round FA Cup match on Tuesday. The late afternoon match will pit a home side that is performing averagely in the Championship against one a visitor who is excelling in League One.
QPR are 14th in the second division. They have had a poor run that has seen them lose to Preston and Sheffield in quick succession. They still have to play Wigan away before hosting Portsmouth. A good Cup run would be great for them as they prepare to rebuild for the next season.
Portsmouth are second in League One, five points behind Luton Town. Although cup progress is not their main focus right now, they will view higher division opposition as a good test and will give it their best shot. Brett Pitman will be their main attacker as they try to get a result on the road.
