Martin O’ Neill’s charges are keen to cap a fine run in recent years with a slot in Russia, and will approach this tie with that dream on mind. They will be taking every positive from the last year as motivation and that include wins over big sides like Uruguay, Austria and recently France. They have a host of talented stars including James Mc Clean and Seamus Coleman who will be giving their all in what could prove to be their most Crucial match in Irish colours.

The Danes came through a pretty easier group to get into the playoffs, but will be keen to get ths last round right to qualify for Russia. Their brightest star and no doubt lead will be Tottenham’s Cristain Eriksenn in midfield. Kasper Schmeichel in goal will also bring in valuable experience in this crucial tie
