Spainand Norway meet at the Mestalla Stadium on Saturday, 23rd March for their firstEuropean Championship qualifying match.
Spain and Norway meet for their first Euro 2020 qualifying match over the weekend, and it should be a relatively comfortable start for the hosts.
Spain have not been at their best recently, they recently lost matches to Croatia and England, but did enjoy victories over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Wales. They are facing a Norwegian team that has not lost a match since September last year, defeating Slovenia, Bulgaria and Cyprus, and also drawing once with Slovenia.
The teams have not played each other since 2003, when they played twice as part of the European Championship and Spain won both of those games. Spain are currently ranked ninth in the world while Norway are forty-eighth. Norway are probably capable of causing Spain some problems, but Spain are playing at home and have been in better form recently so Norway will have to work very hard if they are to secure any points from this match.
