Sporting CP vs Juventus: Sporting out to avenge first leg loss

31.10.2017, Finished at Estadio Jose Alvalade

14:59, 30 Oct 2017

Sporting welcome Juventus to the Estádio José Alvalade, Lisbon, for a fourth round UCL Group D match on Tuesday. The third placed hosts will be looking to avenge a 2-1 beating in the reverse fixture a fortnight ago.

They have on win in three games played, but still very much in the race as they are just three points behind second placed Juve. Manager Jorge Jesus has a lot of Champions League experience in his squad, with the likes of William Carvalho, Fabio Contreao, Bryan Ruiz and Jeremy Matthieu available for selection.

Juve will be keen to put pressure on leaders Barcelona with an emphatic win. Manager Massimiliano Allegri will go on the attack from early in the game, probably with both Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dyabala starting in attack. Blaise Matuidi will be a key figure in midfield, with his impressive turnover between defence and attack a major asset for this kind of match.
