Tottenham Hotspur and Everton meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, 12th May for the final game of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur are hosting Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend for the final game of the season. While Spurs have not been at their best in recent weeks, they have still done enough to secure a top four finish, but have the opportunity to climb one position higher with this final game.
Spurs are currently 1 point below Chelsea in fourth place and could potentially finish third in the league. They have not been in the best of form in recent weeks, losing to Bournemouth and West Ham, and also struggling in the Champions League. Everton have had comparably far better results, they have defeated Burnley and Manchester United, and tied with Crystal Palace. However, they have also slipped up, losing 2 – 0 to Fulham.
The teams last played in December and Tottenham Hotspur won the game 2 – 6. Before that, they played in January 2018 and Spurs won 4 – 0. In fact, Everton have not defeated Spurs since 2012 and since then they have played twelve times.
