Watford and Crystal Palace meet at theVicarage Road Stadium on Saturday, 16th March in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Watford have reached the FA Cup quarter finals after knocking out QPR in the previous round while Crystal Palace came through having defeated Doncaster. Now both teams will be determined to reach the semi-finals.
The teams have been in similar form recently and are very evenly matched. Watford have only played one home game recently, against Leicester City, which they won 2 – 1. Prior to that, they lost to Liverpool away, but enjoyed a win against Cardiff City beforehand. Crystal Palace lost 1 – 2 to Brighton at the weekend, but have produced some convincing performances, such as their 1 – 3 win over Burnley at the beginning of the month.
The teams last played in January and Watford won the game 1 – 2. Watford also won their previous game and Crystal Palace have not defeated Watford since December 2017. Watford also have the home advantage in this game and they will be looking to make the most of it as they try to progress in the competition.
“We have eight games left & the FA Cup & this is the best news for us, to have 26 players ready to compete. If I have to make my decision again I do it the same way.”— Watford Football Club (@WatfordFC) March 11, 2019
