Manchester City and Burnley will play the thirtieth match of the Premier League season on Saturday, 14th March at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City and Burnley meet this weekend at the Etihad Stadium for the thirtieth match of the Premier League season. Manchester City are second in the league with 57 points having won 18 games, drawn 3 and lost 7. Burnley are tenth in the league with 39 points having won 11 games, drawn 6 and lost 12.
Manchester City have been impressive recently. While they lost the Manchester derby last weekend, before that they defeated Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Leicester City. Burnley have also been securing some good results over the last few weeks. They drew 1 – 1 with Tottenham Hotspur in their last match and 0 – 0 with Newcastle United before that. Prior to that, they defeated AFC Bournemouth 3 – 0 and Southampton 1 – 2.
The teams have played regularly in the Premier League over the last few years and things have very much been in Manchester City’s favour. The last time Burnley defeated City was back in March 2015. Since then, they have played nine times with City winning eight games and one game ending in a draw. It could certainly be a very tough game for the visitors.
